Guardian Preview - Stevie Cohen has incorporated live painting performances into several previous exhibitions and audience involvement has become an increasingly important part of her work. The event and exhibition ’I like you looking at me’, continues her pursuit to expose creative practice. It promises a rare opportunity for colleagues and other invited collaborators from university and colleges to work closely with the artist to create drawings which are incorporated into the painting process. The visiting public has the opportunity to discuss the unfolding work with the artists. This ensures that the experience for the artist, her collaborators and the public, is as informative and wide reaching as possible. The resultant works are displayed during the final week of the event. ‘I like you looking at me 2’, is planned for the future.
